Delayed Reaction: Big Momma's House 2

The Pitch: For some reason, the original movie went off like gangbusters and it's not like Martin Lawrence is coming off a string of other successes.

What Took Me So Long: Whatever your opinion of the first movie, was there ever a chance that this would be as good or better?

Why I Saw It: (Club 50) Let's get this out of the way. There's an 8-9 year old Chloe Grace Moretz and that puts me closer to seeing everything in her already extensive filmography. Beyond that, Big Momma is a role the Lawrence is very comfortable playing, so once they create the needed contrivance to bring that character back, it all plays entertainingly enough. In hind sight, a cast featuring Moretz, Kat Dennings, and Zachary Levi only looks stronger now.

Why I Wish I Hadn't: Did anyone need another one of these? The only acceptable answer is 'No'.
